MEET OUR FOUNDER
Patricia Falcetta OAM
Neurodiversity Advocate | Inclusion Educator | Parent with lived experience
Patricia Falcetta’s journey into neurodiversity advocacy began more than a decade ago with the diagnosis of a loved one. At the time, there was no NDIS, no real school support programs, and very few voices speaking publicly about neurodiversity. Like many families, Patricia and her partner were left navigating a complex system with fear, doubt, and little guidance on what supports were available or how to advocate effectively.
Determined to change this, Patricia immersed herself in personal and professional development. She began learning everything she could – not only to support her own child, but to help others navigating a system that still too often fails to recognise or accommodate different neurotypes. From supporting her child through an education system not designed for neurodivergent learners, to recognising the ongoing gaps in teacher training and resourcing, Patricia saw a need – and acted.
That need became Social Living Solutions.
As the Founder and Director of SLS, Patricia works closely with neurodivergent children, teens, adults, and families to provide coaching, advocacy, and meaningful support. Along this journey, she also received her own ADHD diagnosis – an experience that further deepened her insight, empathy, and drive to create change.
Patricia’s mission is clear: not to help neurodivergent individuals ‘fit in,’ but to transform the environments that disable them. As she often asks,
“Is it the person who is disabled – or the environment that disables them?”
Through her work as a keynote speaker, workplace trainer, and creator of the Family Empowerment Program, Patricia continues to lead conversations around true inclusion – advocating for systemic change and simple accommodations that unlock potential, rather than suppress it.
Her advocacy has been widely recognised. In 2023, she was awarded the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) for her outstanding service to the community. She has also been named an Iconic Woman Creating a Better World for All by the Women’s Economic Forum, and a multiple-time finalist in the ACT Chief Minister’s Inclusion Awards.
Patricia remains unwavering in her commitment to building a world that genuinely values neurodivergent individuals – one where difference is not just accepted, but embraced.
